while working on replacing most suspension components i accidentally pulled the trans-axle out of the housing.
i slopped it back in and continued on. it did slide in rather easily.
so before taking a test drive i started my car and let it warm up a bit. i added about a quart of fluid, which was about what i lost.
i put my car back and forth through forward/reverse/park/neutral a few different times and drove about 2 feet when in a drive gear. i started to smell burning trans-fluid so i stopped cycling gears.
i rechecked the trans fluid and noticed a few small bubbles. i know there was a good void that the fluid had to fill, but i want to make sure i'm not going to kill this trans.
are there any special steps i should take from here? or should i just slowly repeat a checking and filling cycle every hour or so?
