My wifes looking for a new winter beater (like cheap cheap) looking at an original one owner sunfire 2001 its like 700 bucks lol. Not too stressed aint gunna lose any sleep if i gotta trash it but anyone got input on these little things

You have to adjust the rear brake every 5k miles lol

with basic maintenance the motor and trans are easily good for 200K +

It's a Cavalier. $700 sounds like too much, unless the timing chain has already been replaced.

Canadian. So. 500 murican. Has 120k (80k miles)

We bought it for 600 cad, replaced a little gasket in the pressure fuel line right near front of the cover (was like 8$)
Thing runs great. Probs change the oil n breaks n run it till it dies on her

Interference meaning wgen the timing belt snaps and the pistons wreck themselves as opposed to just falling down and stopping working... right? XD

Pistons usually can make it out alive. Valves however get fucked.
