been looking all day on info on if running smaller than stock tires is possible

my stock is 160/60/17 but to get a dual sport tire in that type is either incredibly expensive or not available.

ive got quite a few options in 150/60/17 and im wondering if thats going to open up any problems.

ive heard of people going 10mm larger in the rear but clearance can be a problem, you would think 10mm smaller wouldnt be an issue other than traction compromise right?

It shouldn't be a problem. Most tires will give you a run width range.

im about to go for the 150s

everything on the internet is people trying to cram fatter tires on a stock rim, still dont see anything on the opposite

the only thing i can think of problems wise is a poorer bead seal because its not wide enough, twitchier handling, and mayyybe issues with how it wears do to improper flexing.

kind of surprised more people dont run into this problem
