I've done a few corrections now with chemical guys foam pads and V series. Wanting to try more quality products and microfiber instead of foam. I've heard good things about menzerna, what's everyone's go to?

Wait for FMX to chime in. He has some good info and stays up to date on the new products and whatnot.

I personally haven't washed my trucks in over a year. To fucking hot and the Latino dude I throw 40 bucks to every week keeps all 3 daily driven vehicles fucking spotless and he comes to me on top of it.

Menzerna is good.

I like Optimum hyper polish for 1 stage stuff and Shine Supply for compounding and heavy swirl removal. Meguiar's professional line and 3M both have many very, very good compounds, polishes, and glazes to choose from. The trick is to figure out how each one cuts because they are all different. Some of the megs and 3m stuff cuts like sandpaper compared to the chemical guys stuff you've been using so you have to be careful.

I use lake country thin pro and traditional foam pads. I haven't used microfiber very much.

Thanks

I guess my gripe with foam is cleaning the pads during correction. I use some cleaner with a brush then wash it out. When I go to do another pass the abrasive gunks up.

I've seen people just blow out microfiber, seems easier.

You should be changing pads every panel or every other panel then washing them when you are done. A pad spur and scraper will help. When product cakes on you lose your cutting ability.

I see, so it's best practice to have 8-10 pads of the same style (compounding / polishing pads) to cover an entire car?

That is by far the easiest way. When they get made up with product toss them in a bucket with whatever cleanser you use. I like the snappy clean citrus powder stuff.
