Used to be a hardcore hater on electric rc's.
Recently (last couple years) swapped over to an electric 4wd buggy just to trash and for the wife to practice and I'll never go back. Actually sold both of my meth cars and replaced with electric.
If I remember correct we got her the 4wd slash and put a bigger motor / battery in. Thing does like 80ish on pavement all out and takes an absolute beating. Wife has driven it into the pool a few times, once all out into the brick mailbox. Multiple times into trees fence ect and other than cosmetic shit (bodies bumpers and tires) thing still runs like day 1. Anything with a motor that can withstand her use get's a pass in my book. She's hard on shit.
Yeah my buddy has Losi with a 4.6 nitro motor and it chirps the tires on dry pavement.
The Yeti looks like it can take a beating in the videos I've seen.
I was looking at an HPI Savage with the Flux motor, can handle 2× 6s Lipo's. Launches off the ground when you throttle down.
Look at the tires when he goes full speed.

I have a meth trophy truck and jesus fuck is that thing expensive to operate or repair when shit breaks.
My friend and I went through about $100 last week in gas, glow plugs, and body parts on the car. He fucked something up on his 3.3, the whole motor seized up.
I was gonna buy one of his nitros for $200 but after looking at operating costs I'm thinking no lol.

Personally only electric. Tamiya and their old school grasshopper ruled.

I like the look of those old classic buggies but I don't really live near sand/dusty dirt. Super wet where I live...
