them things are so annoying when you are working on a truck and they don't shut up... and drivers seem to get mad if you turn em off

Turning them off is no biggie or turning the volume down. Just dont screw with any other knobs. Nothing worse than having to readjust your squelch and gain or god forbid someone turned the swr knob.

Thanks. Ive used a factory cobra 29 classic and 29 lx the whole time ive drove so this is like christmas morning for me. All the guys i run with have 10 meters.

i have a cobra 29 classic, but i dont use it a ton since i took the ham radio class and got a ham set up for my truck, its just so much better.
