thinking of trading or selling the frs to buy a truck to haul the miata around/dd. Miata weighs around 2300lb, but might tow other vehicles that weigh around 3400. Idk how much an open trailer (alum, steel?) would weigh.

Any suggestions on which truck to look for? I was looking at fords eco boost trucks, but dont really know much about them

any 1/2 truck should have zero issues towing an open trailer and a miata + ur spares and tools.

Even going up and down the grape vine? That's the only thing that I was worried about

you should be fine, i would add an external tranny cooler just to help the auto trans from overheating.

that would be my only concern. if the truck dosent come with a trans temp gauge (most new trucks have it in the dash options deal) then put one in

My dads little Colorado towed my Saturn plus a uhaul dolly trailer and like 1000lbs of stuff no problem what so ever from Denver to Seattle.
