Yes, and yes.

Hot-Jet ceramic coatings are virtually indestructible.

If you have a nice tubular header, or something you care about resisting corrosion, there is virtually no better way of doing so. Send the parts to hot-jet. They are worth every penny

I have a 6-1 header that was hot jet coated. Over 80,000 miles later - it looks brand fucking new.

Hmm idk if that is just a brand. Some guy I worked with was calling it ceramic paint coating so that what I been using to google. I'll try googling quartz coating. Thank you.

we jet coat a bunch of different stuff on the dirt cars, idk why we do tho, some fuckin knuckle head always runs into them anyway

I use multiple car pro and optimum silicon dioxide and silicon carbide costings. The optimum opti-pro silicon carbide is something to behold. It's not really a coating from a chemistry perspective. It reacts with the clear coat and polymerizes over a period of 7 days. It has a mohs hardness rating of 9 as opposed to 7 for most resin born silicon dioxide coatings. It carries a 6 year warranty now I believe.
