Planning on getting a truck, and im looking for fuel efficiency/reliability.
4x4, for snow etc.

after some googling, i narrowed it down to ram 1500, f150 and silverado.
leaning towards f150 atm, but i dont think they use diesel yet??
i like 1500 too, but are they reliable??

What will you be using the truck for?
Work truck?
Towing a trailer?

What are you looking to spend?

Mostly for work, driving to work in the winter with lots of snow. Won't be towing anything.

You'll only need a half ton ( 1500/150 )
Buy for 30-50k you could get a nice diesel 2500/250 3/4 ton

5.3L silverado and ecoboost F150 get basically the same fuel economy but the ecoboost is more complex. They have nearly identical options and specifications. It comes down to personal preference. Dodge has come a long way butt they are still lagging in some areas. Their ecodiesel half ton is solid. For what you want a nicely optioned half ton (1500) gas truck is perfect. I wouldn't pick up the tab on diesel maintenance costs if you aren't going to use the diesel power.

http://www.ramtrucks.com/en/ecodiesel/

They built it to hit a certain towing capacity and fuel economy number it seems. So it doesn't make the power the gas trucks do but it does the same job because torque.
