My radiator fan fell off the crank pulley tonight.. can't really figure out how its suppose to attach / what exactly broke. It doesn't seem/ look like it had a bolt going through it into the extension off the pulley..
It's also pretty heavy and there's a weight attached to it. Being that my belts still run. Can I drive this thing, or will the major weight difference throw things off in a bad way.

Cooling issue is a given. Should either get the fan back on or swap to electronic. But is the weight still an issue or is that weight decrease transfer to more power and no issue at all.

It's nice because it runs a lot more quiet and the vibration of engine is cut down a bit.

Lol never dealt with a clutch fan before. Never had anything pre 2000. Feel dumb. The clutch basically fell apart so I just ended up replacing that. Must have been stuck in the locked position and slightly off balance because it always ran a little loud/rough. Now with it installed, it's running pretty smooth.
Electric was definitely a thought. Just wasn't sure how it'd be to mount and how long itd take. Kinda needed to fix it asap.
10 minutes and 40 bucks wasn't too bad to fix it.

When a clutch fan goes bad it sticks in the locked position which is ideal because its at least doing its job still.
