So Im hoping to pickup a C6 soon and I just moved to Florida (from Georgia). Are there any advantages in buying in one state vs the other? Both of my current vehicles are still registered in GA (as is my license for now).

No idea on buying in Fl but GA's tax and registration laws can suck a dick. I doubt FL could be much worse.

Make the drive to Texas.

Corvettes and Diesels are fucking everywhere for pennies on the dollar. Every oil rigger and CEO has a lifted diesel and every man buy's a new vette for their midlife crisis. Then again, Florida can't be much different.

You pay tax in the state that you register your car in.... Doesn't matter where you buy from.

I bought my C7 from New Hampshire, had it shipped down to local dealership here for 375$. Paid in state taxes

MacMulkin? It's 10 minutes from my house. They need more space for their vettes. The second floor of their building is just PACKED with vettes.

But yes, what AZN said. The largest corvette dealer in the southeast is in GA. It's likely to be in your favor if you buy from a large dealership who sells by volume. You're more than likely able to talk down the price and chances are, they'll want to get rid of used vettes.

Brand new 2017s are selling at 13% off right now. 2016s are selling at 20% off. You can prob get a c6 for a steal (if they have them). Problem with larger dealerships is they don't always keep older models (lack of space even for new ones). I think it's going to be hard to locate a C6 with the perfect specs u want (but then again I'm pretty picky)...

In my opinion, unless he is on a REALLY tight budget, he can prob get a base 2014 C7 for like 40k. Thats way more worth than any C6

MacMulkin has 7 c6s ranging from $23-48k. I agree, though, go for the C7. However, I would just spring for a new 2017 base at $51,500. Then again, z51 is a worthy upgrade for not much more.

Im not sure what my budget is really. I was thinking find a C6 for $30k or less, but another $10k and I can get in a C7...
If I can convince myself to either sell both of my cars instead of just the Mustang or to get a roommate I can afford the C7 easily. Im just not sure yet. $50k is definitely more than I want to spend right now.

Finance it over 6-7 years instead of 5. U will be fine. Don't get a C6, you won't regret the C7. Huge technological advancement between the two gens.
