So i bought a 2004 civic and it has no a/c. it holds refridgerant. It also has no heat... well it blows the same temperature as the ac which is neither hot or cold. theres no adjusting the temperature either, you can adjust the blower but thats it. the motor is a D17A1

having refrigerant won't fix a busted compressor. checking that this isn't locked up is where you should start.

so it came with this issue when you bought it correct?

you never know about econobox people...some are so cheap they will pull fuses/relays for shit so no one can use them. you'd be surprised how many people think a/c and heat in a car destroys mpgs when it doesn't do anything to it in reality.

yeah its on your serpentine belt. one you identify it go turn the car and a/c on full then see if the middle area is spinning or if just the outter ring that touches the belt is spinning. if the middle doesn't move then its locked up.

as for heater. check your coolant levels.
