Most v16's were in heavy equipment and turned 1600-1800 RPM. 3,000 RPM on a v16 that big is pretty dam fast...

Oh I don't doubt that it's fast, it just sounds like the shifting is strung out and the transmission was going to blow up any second.

Then again I don't know shit about diesels so that could be why I think that lol

well it's a salt flat and big truck so you gotta have long ass gears unless you wanna top out quick.
