to get bugs off the front end is the bug and tar remover in the aerosol can safe on paint? i dont really want to ruin the look of the paint on my brand new car. ive always used that stuff but the vehicle was never really in great enough condition to worry about the effects of that stuff on the paint.

i know it doesnt like peel the paint or anything but i just dont know if it might dull the clearcoat or something else. like i said its a brand new car and i would be pissed if something like that blemished the paint.

also if theres another product that does the same thing and they know is safe im open to suggestions. im using i think napa brand aerosol stuff right now. think we are going to wash it today and after that i have a brand new can of meguiars paste wax waiting to go on there.

Many products work, getting it off the car asap is most important. It's especially dangerous if it's left on the paint for a while and gets baked by the sun.

Purple Power. You can buy it at Wal-Mart, Home Depot, the Internet etc. Spray it on then pressure wash it. Best detailers I know uses it. I wouldn't use an aerosol unless you can be sure it won't eat the clear coat.

Do not use purple power on your paint. It is a caustic degreaser... danger will robinson!

Spend $10 on a bug ND tar sponge. It won't swirl or Mar your paint. Any chemicals you put on clear coat should be pH balanced.
