Anyone here ever installed one of these?

I need one on my 2010 wrx, previous TOB wore down the aluminum part where it travels (push type).

I've never had to use one. It's a common problem to run across in high mileage corvettes with manual transmissions. Most people replace the entire torque tube in the vettes rather than sleeve the input shaft. I wish I could be of more help.

i am actively searching Google, simply posting here cause maybe someone had to do this fix recently, and would like to share their experience.

now move on and post crap elsewhere.

Just found this video, looks pretty straightforward.

shipped to my door (canada) would be approx 250 bucks...and 340$ labor i just got a quote from my mechanic....

its not the first time I post here for advice, and each time I've gotten a couple good tips. The more information I gather the better. Its free to post here too.

Oh and I also posted on a wrx forum. No need to post such comments.

I havent found any bad story about these kits yet, and its a lot less expensive than a new trans case lol. I don't have many/any alternatives.

That is a really flimsy looking setup. No wonder the snout is prone to having grooves cut in it. It's cast aluminum and the whole TOB assembly/clutch fork flops around on there. I would probably drill two tiny recesses into the snout for the set screws to ride in if it were me. That may be totally unnecessary but I don't like the way to looks.

yea I felt the same way when I realized these two set screws were the only things holding the sleeve in place.
