I have nothing but good things to say about any GMT900. I will say if it is a 5.3L you should figure out which rear end gears it has and determine if it best suits your use for the truck. If you are going to lift it and put big tires on it or you tow a lot I would look for a one with 4.10's. If you drive a lot of highway 3.73 would be better.

I have a '12 silverado crew cab, Getting ready to take it to the shop for an antifreeze smell, other than that, I like it, wish i would of got a 5.3 instead of the 4.8, just for the fact I pull a 26' enclosed aluminum trailer every weekend to the motocross track.

Lol you are working that little 4.8 hard... that's probably why you smell coolant from the expansion tank.

:) I been pulling that trailer with a s-10/zr2 with the 4.3 vortex. Put 300k on the motor, about 250k i had to put a tranny in it.
Ya my wife surprised me one day, and traded my s-10 in for a brand new 2012.

i think a lifted truck with 3.73 would be fine as long as it's not like 44s or some crazy shit

Not as much bottom end. 3.73's are shit for big tires.
