the premier package has some extra body work on it. the grille is different in the other packages and the black on the rear is exclusive to this one. its fully loaded no car key only has the fob, the big navigation screen 7" i think and it has lane assist backup camera everything. leather interior all seats are heated and steering wheel is heated. we checked out the cruze lt but decided the premier was worth the extra money.

how much was it if you dont mind me asking?

I drive a 2014 Sonic LT, and was looking at LTZ Cruzes as well. I don't see any Premiers for sale in Washington either lol

msrp is 28k but they have about 1,500 in rebates right now. we got an extra 1,500 rebate because we traded in an equinox sport. the lt which is the next trim down is about 6k cheaper depending on the options.

Meh, exterior looks cheap and tacky.

I would have gone with an accord or Kia Optima turbo.

Interior looks pretty nice though.

My wife's 2011 cruze has 110k on it now. Everything is holding up well. The water pump was replaced under warranty with the new design. Lifetime average fuel economy is 31mpg. I don't know about the 16's but the earlier cruze had issues with hesitation on take off in hot climates. By going to a copper plug 1 heat range colder and gapping it at .025 I got rid of the knock retard and regained the take off power. No cold start issues afterwards. Coppers should last 20-30k miles. It takes 15 minutes to change plugs. So far everything I've done to it has been a pleasant experience. Very easy to work on. She is starting to get cat efficiency codes from time to time so I might put a catless down pipe on it soon.

it has a 1.4 turbocharged 4 cylinder theyre all aluminum now they dropped like 40 pounds in weight over previous 1.4

im just hoping theres no powertrain problems but i got 5 year/60k mile bumper to bumper and powertrain warranties. i really thought about waiting on the new diesel thats coming out but that would probably be next year. this is our first brand new never owned car i have to make sure her and the kids have a good vehicle thats not going to crap out on us lol. i hated trading in the equinox that thing was pretty damned fun to drive but i wasnt going to have 2 car payments.

Ours is a 1.4T/6 speed auto as well. It really has been a good car. The itty bitty turbo spools by 2,000rpm so it drives like it has a small displacement V6. I've been most surprised with how well the interior has held up. We don't have any kids but my wife is very hard on an interior. The seats are still in great shape. No wrinkles, rips, or tears. All of the glorious plastics is still like new haha. You'll enjoy throwing the whole family in it for a road trip. Coming from a crossover it will be a change but it really does have a lot of room for a compact car. The best part is rolling at 80mph on the interstate with a car full of people and luggage while seeing over 30mpg on the fuel economy readout.

Good luck with it. I hope you have as good of an experience as I have. I'm going to be doing some larger maintenance jobs on ours in the next year or two. I'll let you know how it goes. She is at 110k and still on the original brakes.
