make sure everything is/was properly torqued, if theres anything even a hair loose it'll cause uneven rotation.
kinda like if a pulley is loose it wobbles and makes the same noise.
pressing the clutch puts load on it which would stop the noise.
also was the clutch master (and slave if you have one, I'm not too familiar with subarus yet) properly bled after the new clutch was installed?
just got a call back from the mechanic, I sent him the video, we'll see what happens.
I'll also ask him if he did resurface the FW and bleed the cyls...
