Installed JDL UEL catted header on my BRZ this week along with a stage 2 tune.

Paired with my Perrin CBE, She purs like a lion in heat.

Hearing some possible vibrations, maybe but it's hard to tell. I've never had an UEL h before and the material is thinner than stock and doesn't have a heat shield, so i'm wondering if maybe that change alone would bring significant noise changes from up front.
Haven't had the chance to take off the plate to double check, but i don't really see a contact spot when I look through the engine bay. The noise is usually only noticeable on very low RPM ranges such as when i'm coming to a stop, or just starting acceleration.

I only hear it from the engine bay, not out the back if that matters. Also, the header is catted and my Perrin cbe is catted and resonated.

Tune is designed for after market uel header, specifically using 93oct in this case.

No, this setup easily eliminates the notorious torque dip in the midrange rpm levels.

I think the idea of referring to tunes in stages is misleading

In this case,

Stage 1 stock or exhaust (w/o header)
Stage 2 after market header
Stage 3 FI

Each with the choices of octane

It's not a language I'm making up or anything, I assumed it was widely known.

No. A tune is a tune. It should be for the specific car. Canned or one size fits all tunes are a bad idea. That particular company chose their terminology.
