he was offered tony stewarts 14 but turned it down. clint bowyer wasnt the first choice. chip needs to do something like maybe ask rick hendrick to lend him some engineers to help them find their way. the addition of chad johnston as kyles crew chief and them finally getting some cars built from the ground up by chad is helping tremendously.

im still confused as to why he didnt get into matt kenseth for the win but when it came to the all star qualifying race he slammed chase elliott into the wall for a win.
