Indiana is boring, so I'm gonna race dirt track with a friend from high school

I found a 240sx and a bmw 318ti, since I'm set on RWD

RWD is allowed posi and I think it will drive better

Friend says bmw, I'm going to look at the 240sx tomorrow after work, I've pretty much decided not to listen to him, even tho he's grown up racing and I'm a noob

What would you guys choose?

I found one of those too, but it's carbed and he wants 1700, plus it's rockers are shot

parts will be cheaper for it then your 240 or that bmw

plus i bet that 2.3 will run better NA then either of those 2

Plus I can't just throw any carb on, it's gotta stay "stock," 2 barrels are no fun

Parts I'm not too worried about, we're pretty good at fabrication and I know of several junked versions of both cars, just need a strong engine and a sound chassis

Of the 2, the 240 would be cheaper to set up but will lack power without a 6cyl swap or turbo. The BMW would be a little more pricey to modify but would end up putting out more HP/tq in its 4cyl remaining stockish

Bmw 's have proven themselves as great ralley cars that can take a beating, 240s are better for flat road drifting
