I'm looking to buy my first car soon and was looking for something performance ish
I was looking at 2002 wrx's and 2004 rsx type s's but my budget is around $4000-5000
What do you guys recommend?

I have a 02 type s and I love it .. great dd for sure. Awd is fun during winter on the subby but I say acura is more reliable?

Buy the Acura.

1. It's reliable, me and my wife just traded our 02 type S in like a year ago and it was running like it was brand new at 160k miles
2. Resale value is great. We got 8 grand for the car because some kid at the dealership was willing to exceed the kbb. .
3. They're zippy as fuck. Not fast by any definition of the word, but the little 6 speed will boogy down the highway.
4. The hatch has decent space as long as you negate the back seats.
5. Gas milage is pretty decentight

If it's ur first car get an Acura

Subarus are not for noobie first cars and I'm not being mean.

They are sometimes difficult to work on due to engine design.
Yeah you have more power than the Acura but as uncle Ben would say
With great power comes great responsibility plus more power =more chances shit will break


Just take the Acura

buy something slower that you can learn to drive well like a second gen miata.

i second an nb miata. Much more fun than both of those 2 cars listed.

4-5 probably buy you a not terrible ls camaro or transam .. pretty good cars
