Check grounds,
Check starter.
Check battery cables.
Check ignition cylinder.

Turn key to on position, make sure car is in park. Aka wiggle the shifter pull in and out of park couple times. Try to start. Put in neutral try to start. I know this sounds stupid but sometimes moving the steering wheel and column up and down. I know my buddies Pontiac had an issue with something in the column making it a start and no start type of deal.

Almost bought another one today, lolol.
Ugly ass tan. Would have to paint it. Chop the top too.
Maybe throw the 3800 from my totaled buick or the new 350 I got for my 88 world tower in it.
Guy wants 2500. 86 GT V-6 31K miles. (Yeah right)

Try spraying some ether into your intake to see if it will start or kick over. If it does then you probably have a fuel issue. Check the pressure by using a pressure checker gauge. Hook it to your Schrader Valve. Check your distributor cap. Mine was bad when I got it, Make sure you have spark to the spark plugs. Have someome turn over the car when you have a plug out and grounded to metal. Have someone turn over the car when its dark out and check to see if you can see any sparking via cracks in the cap. No spark ? Its a spark issue. Only need fuel, air, and fire for an engine to work. Few electronics but ... you get what Im saying.

so i replaced battery due to it being dead, replaced coil pack

when i turn key, i can hear the fuel pump working i believe, when i spray starting fluid in it, i turn key and it still turns for days without starting up.
