The predictor to the AC cobra, little unknown Allard.

1953 Allard k3

331 cu. in. Chrysler hemi engine, fitted with a pair of 4-barrel carburetors.


Too bad Americans in the late 50's screwed up on this one. Low sales killed it off. Granted, everyone was buying the corvette, which was sexy as hell. It's just too bad the Allard, which had better power/weight ratios than the Corvette never caught on.

Ya know who originally drove an Allard? Carroll Shelby. Here is his-
Shelby's Allard was a 1952 with a 31 cubic-inch Cadillac V-8 engine and 3-speed manual transmission.

Nice! :) Sharp looking little roadster.

Agreed; it's a pity it never caught on.
