So why not, I'd like to acquire a bottom end from a ford 460 , for reasons..

Is there a specific name for this block ? I mean I guess the block itself ain't named the 460 block right? (a few compo possible)

Is this block expensive to get ? Is this aluminium casted ?

How hard is it for a Canadian citizen to import this block in canada ?

Where should I look at in usa to find this ?

I think it was the 460 that my colleges e350 van had. Thing was a beast and would cruise 80-90mph all day..............or, until needing more fuel.

Ford made those engines for like ever so, I'm confident with my guess its iron and not aluminium.

they are not very expencive... you can probably find one needing a rebuild for 500-1000$

they do make aluminum ones, but i believe they are all aftermarket everything i can think of in stock for was iron

no idea how hard it would be to import

id look on craigslist if u wana drive down here to pick one up, or if u need it shipped, id look for engine supply houses
