Generally higher octane gas is obviously better, and some even go further with some additives like V-power from shell etc.

I wouldn't bother with it unless #racekar...

I usually run either 93 pump unless it's a track day. The track near me they sell a sweet 104 octane. I have to use it with my 104 ECU file (can switch between 91, 93, 100 and 104) otherwise I get knock and the performance goes down when using the wrong file and missmatched octane.

But in your case with a C300 you should be completely fine using the lower ones. Specially if you will sell the car in few years anyway...

Run diesel bro.

Octane rating pertains to heat/knock resistance. Higher performance, especially forced induction, vehicles usually require higher octanes to compensate for increased temperatures created due to either boost, or high compression.

EDIT: Nah....That's all I'm going to write about that.

It's in the manual; Read the damn manual.

100% vouch this.

Truck runs sooo much better on diesel. I'll never put gas in it again!

Well considering octane is resistance to detonation i guess the actual important question is WHAT DOES THE MANUAL SAY

If its not a high compression motor your literally wasting money on a higher octane fuel as you wont get complete combustion if your car doesn't need 93 octane
