So it ended up getting stuck back in to 4th gear, i hooked up to computer says, shift solenoid p050 dode , ...
You might get lucky and have it be only a solenoid. However, on these it's usually the computer board that holds the solenoids.
Your truck keeps "sticking" in 4th because the TCM is putting itself it whats called "limp" mode. 4th gear in these 5 speed autos are basically a gear that can get you to the nearest dealer. Hence locking into 4th.
Unless you feel confident in tearing down a newish auto trans I would take this in to someone else. They are kind of a pain in the ass to work on and to get to these parts that you have an issue with requires roughly half of the trans to be broken down. IIRC it can be done without pulling the trans but it would be a huge fuck fest.
Edit -- if you take this to a chrysler dealership they should be able to run through this pretty easy. It's a known issue on these. Not as common as the junk axles they used but still common enough for techs to know about it. I don't recall any TSB's every being released on it though so unless you are under an extended powertrain warranty this will be out of pocket.
