I know what cha mean dude. Within the past four years I've made "contact" with two deer while driving. Both while I driving to work, early AM at UPS. Few years ago I straight plowed into and totally fucked up the front end my old Ford work van. My second run-in was fairly recent during a foggy morning a few months ago. I saw the deer, was entirely in the left lane and slowing. The deer kept running right into me, pushed my right side mirror in and popped the trim piece off my rear wheel on my Jeep but (thankfully) after turning around I found the trim on the road and no real damage.

Scratches to an old Jeep are only battle wounds, and hopefully a good story how it happened.

Just replace the side. Fuck it. imo- Save up and upgrade to a "cow catcher" type of bumper guards....

i dont own the truck and its a brand new truck it will have a full new bumper (well its almost 1 year old). i slayed all kinds of deer in the freightliner columbia i used to drive. nailed one at 65mph and it pushed the steel bumper all the way into the pitman arm we had to use the shop truck and a log chain to pull it back out. the truck is fine to drive just looks fugly with a chunk of bumper missing. new bumper should be in monday or tuesday then it will go off to the paint shop to get a shot of white to match the truck.
