First off I can pick one up 4x4 cab and a half for 2500 is that a good deal if it's in nice shape?
The problem it has is it runs sitting for 15 min then shuts off that's the only information I can get so far

He said he took to a dealership and they said it needs a new motor. But he said they didn't look at it more than 1 business day

No. It's not worth it. I'm sure you can find very easily another F150 for $2500, which does not shut off after 15 minutes.
