Living that poor college kid lyfe so I don't have the money to build a 400 hp block, so I'm doing intake and exhaust (got an amazing deal on the exhaust) and probably a re-tune in the future, as well as a trans rebuild with a shift kit.
That's all I can really afford on that front, so to make it go faster and handle better, was looking to do some inexpensive weight reduction.
What are some of the easiest ways you guys have found to get some easy weight out of the car that doesn't break the bank. (already have a/c and cruise ripped)

Id try to focus on school and other things rather than building a shitty racecar on college kid funds.

It's not that I'm too busy, I just don't have the money because I'm not taking out loans or having my parents pay for it (just working construction in the summers)

I meant money not time as well. I'm saying it seems like you're pretty strapped for cash, and I'd imagine you are being in college. I'd save my money or put it towards loans rather than hacking together an old slow racecar lol..that's just me though sry.
/Until you have a good paying job then you can really build something.

Remove all interior,

as well as

hood, front fenders, rear fenders, all bumpers, and cut roof off with sawzall, all glass, doors, lights, etc.

Basically make a go kart.

Then it might be as fast as a new honda civic.

this thread reminds me of one of our mechanics. he bought an early fourth gen camaro with the 3.4 v6 for 400 bucks and is talking about getting stuff for it for performance on that shitty ragged out motor. everyone keeps telling him just drive the damn thing its your only means of transportation but he wont listen.

Replace that heavy rear glass window with plexiglass. You running stock steel rims? Do you have an air conditioner?

I had an 84 Camaro and 85 Trans am. Best thing to do is strip everything behind the front seats. Change the rear hatch glass with plexiglass or another cheap alternative. Take out ac, power steering.
