Its a gls v6 2.5

Sometimes (not all the time) when I shift into reverse/drive the tranny will kick hard. Also recently for some reason no matter what it's in (P/R/D) it'll rev up really high and stay high. If it's in park when I do this I can't shift because then it will really kick hard and kill the car. When it kills the car I can't get it to start for sometimes 5 mins sometimes 30 mins. It'll crank just won't fully start.

Also, I'm pretty sure this is a bad fuel pump but if I'm on empty and I go fill it it says it takes only 7 gallons to fill up from empty to full when online I read the capacity is 17 gallons. Plus I'm getting crap mpg it'll use the full 7 gallons just to go on a 1 hour round trip.

Any suggestions for any of this?

sell it online or report it stolen to your insurance company.
