OK Start out with the car..
2002 Saab 9-5 linear 2.3t (e)
Now for what happened.
Driving on the highway from families house after Thanksgiving.. Cruising along with no issues until I hit the middle of the bridge right before my exit home.. Car just quit.. Didn't sputter or nothing... Luckily I was able to roll to the exit so I wasn't stranded on a bridge with no shoulder over the Ohio river... Rolled to a stop and turned everything off. Waited 2 mins and cranked it back over, died seconds later :/ (note it ran perfect for that 2 sec).. So I leave the car over night go back and it fired right up droven5 ft and bam.. You guessed it.. Dead. Has not kicked over since,I also noticed the fuel pump wasn't priming anymore
Towd it to home. Narrowed it down to a fuel problem seeing how it did get spark and off no prime on key turn.. Replaced pump.. U can hear it prime now just like it should.
Car would not kick over..
Used starting fluid in air intake (prob should do TB??)
It sounding like it wanted to turn but didn't, drained better cranking..
Batter is recharged..
Today I changed fuel filter as well ( broke rear banjo bolt so after a run to junk yard it will be back on tomorrow.)
So my questions are, what do you think in general about the situation?
What else should I be looking at if it wont crank tomorrow?
Can ether or starting fluid be sprayed directly into the ETB?
Any questions just post or pm.. Sorry so long
