"Old 5.3" There's a reason it hasn't changed much. They are very dependable engines. There's TONS of vehicles with the 5.3 that are over 300k and running as strong as ever, they are just good.
When you ask and the vote is heavily in favor of a 5.3, there is probably good reason.
There is a reason they retain value, as well. Low mileage cheap ones are hard to find.
135k on a 5.3? Lol, cool it just got broke in, it's got 300k more.
