They're all the same imo. Ratchets and impact sockets where it matters

For the price I like kobalt/craftsman. Reasonable prices and lifetime warrantys that are hassle free

/e if you wait for Christmas time lowes has some great sales on kobalts.

Eh.. a nice 3/8 socket set is priceless.. And offset box wrenches.. And all pneumatic tools, never go cheap with those.

not at all. i prefer snapons 100 tooth ratchet over other brands and prefer snapons hand wrenches because theyre a little longer for more leverage and have those little circles cut into the corners of the wrench for more leverage. its the little things imo.

/e most of my other tools are craftsman just because its easy to swap out at sears. my impact is mac and i have some random mac/napa pieces throughout my box too.

anyone ever fuck with gearwrench sockets? I've got a set of their non ratcheting Sae wrenches and those seem great for the price

Been thinking about gearwrench or sk

OR just buy a used set of matco/snap-on/Mac

Using Stanley for the missing pieces (which is like half of them) to fill in my old set already broke some :/

I've always used snap-on so i'm pretty biased.

Used mac for some air tools and had great luck as well

I have a few ratcheting open end/box ends. They ARE amazing...if you have the space. Accessing tighter spaces becomes a problem. I almost always just use my non ratcheting stuff, for that reason...

I really like SK tools. New Craftsman stuff is made in China, and from my experience, a lot of tools are no longer honored through their (Sears) lifetime replacement. The quality has dropped subsequently.

But I'll be perfectly honest, I bought a set of Stanley sockets as a "throw away" kit years ago. The ratchets and the set - despite serious abuse - are still up and kicking.

I actually don't even use my "nice set" anymore, because my beaters JUST. WONT. DIE.

I love my SK sets. I worked for lowes for a while so I have a ton of kobalt tools also. I never ran in to a issue with kobalt. And lowes is a pushover when it comes to lifetime warranty, you'll never have a problem. With how close and how many lowes there are swapping isn't an issue. They have the sockets for life program also where if you lose or break a socket you get a replacement.

We use SK here in the chemical plant. They are great.

I use Sunex sockets at home. They are all chromoly impact sockets. I have metric and standard from 1/8" to 1 7/8" and 5mm to 38mm 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2" drive. I paid the same money for the entire master socket set as i would have for a 3/8 drive metric snap on set.

I use snap on and kobalt ergo ratchets. Ratchets are 1 place that the expensive stuff does make a difference.
