3 years ago i purchased a 1963 f100 from my dad.. it was beat. but not too bad..

i bought a house and decided to give him the truck back so i could remodel the house.. well i wanted to restore the truck now that i could afford it.. so i took it from him and he has no real idea ive been doing it.. so ill just show some pics of that..
then ill post my soon to be project..








this is how it currently sits.. letting the paint cook a bit under the sun.. im terrible at this uploading stuff.. so ill add more in a few minutes.

the only real before picture i took lol..

well when im finished with that truck.. it will be given back to my father.. i purchased the front and read chrome bumpers and mirrors from lmc and all new gasket sets for the winshields.. 4 inch white walls.. and then the truck becomes his money pit.

then i move on to this car i got about 3 or 4 months ago..

but the gran torino has a 400m.. starts up,, but hasnt been driven in 8+years.. so on my day off im gonig to drop the oil pan and clean that out and do the oil change..
don't plan on moving it until the truck is outta my way .. would like some advice on the torino.. a few things..
1. i don't know ANYTHING outside of body work.. so is the 400 worth building for mild performance? (330-350hp)
2. is it difficult to pull out the motor/tranny as i would like to paint the frame .. or is it not worth it?
3. how bad could i fuck up this car?

One hell of a boat car you got there. My older brother had a gran turino as his first car.

It's not hard to pull a motor and tranny. And it will be worth it. Just take your time, everyone has to start somewhere right. It will be a learning experience and I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
how bad can you fluck it up? Don't let yourself fuck it up is the answer. Do your research, ask questions and the best way to learn is with your own two hands and a tool chest. I say do it, 100%

Label everything you take off, take lots of pictures. Even though pulling a motor n shit of this year will be minor technical work.

is there a specific ford forum you can possibly suggest?

honestly its difficult.. because i dont know any real mechanics.. so when it comes to this.. it's going to be hard.. and specially since the ford 400 isn't very popular..
