Do I just go with a good oil change and pray?

How would I go about adjusting valves and knowing which ones to adjust?

The tick is in a pattern, there when im idle and I think I can hear it when im going.

V6. Here is the bay

Would prefer not to hand over a chunk of change but from what i've read if its a bent rod then i'm most likely losing that chunk of change and bringing it into the garage

A bent rod is a little more than a tick. Sounds like lifter tick to me. Welcome to the Chrysler motors...

Just change the oil and ignore it. I had a hemi that had lifter tick when i bought it with 180k on the clock and it lasted over 300k before I sold it to a guy that still drives it to this day.

just replace the lifters. inexpensive and a few hours work.

the hemis will have the tick. and the 3.5l get them as well but from neglect.

2.7l are just trash

i have a charger and i have a tick. if its a tuick its fine. if its a knock time to rebuild.

I've driven cars hard with lifter tick and piston slap for years with no problems. Keep up with the oil changes and check it regularly

Don't put seafoam or any of that crap in your oil either

Is the noise always noticeable? As in, does it go away after the car warms up? If it's an older flat tappet engine and its just slight lifters noise, don't worry about it. Consider using a heavier oil.
If you have bearings going out and some internal damage from old/low oil.......good luck.

I think your definition of a "tick" was a little off
