So 2 days ago, I crashed my 2001 honda accord into a tree at 80 mph. Cops said i was super lucky for not getting a serious injury, worst case scenario, death. So my tow truck dude said he'll buy my car but need a car title and such? I'm new to this and have no idea what to do on "how to sell a car". Thanks in advance to anyone who guides me !

Find your title, go to the DMV, ask them questions

If the title is paid off and you actually own it legally.
Go to the Secretary of state, get the transfer file ( you should have the buyer there with you ) it's like a 15 dollar transfer of title purchase. Then it's his. If you're making over 500 dollars on the car the government will tax it so if I was you I'd just "sell" it on that document for like 50$ and collect the actual money off the books.

The problem with that is the state audits sales so eventually you will have to pay tax on it. Although in this case it's a totalled 2001 accord so the value is prob 500 or less anyway.
