If fan is not working but the radiator still holds water, the car will run fine if continue driving.....
If fan is not working but radiator holds water and you are sitting still in traffic, your car will overheat and could cause coolant to overflow.

Did you ever notice your engine temperature while driving back and you lost all your fluid?

Simply put- no coolant is never a good thing. Sorry bud but your old DD may have a dead engine.

yeah when all my fluid was gone it'd heat up reallly fast
i never let it go past 3/4 of the gauge tho so im hoping it didnt fk up my head gasket

first time i noticed it is when i stopped at a friends house, i came out and all my fluid was on the side of the street where i parked all rounded up in a puddle.
thats when i first stopped my car from that long 2 hour drive back in hot weather.

still starts up fine and everything. it just heats up really fast once all the water i put in goes away.

i had a small leak on my radiator .. i noticed it a friday night so garage was closed till monday
I kept filling it up with water whenever I was using my car and would always drive with the heater cranked to the max but late saturday night i was coming back from my friends house and I made sure to fill it up before I left and about 20mins later on the highway my temp gage went crazy and bounced up over the red thing so I was freaking out and took the 1st exit .. it smelt like burned shit and I could hear liquid boiling in my engine LOL I just parked into some random company's parking lot and called CAA and got it towed to my garage

costed me 100$ for the radiator + installation and everythings been working perfectly fine since then
