Temp gauge rises and falls rapidly, i drive it on hot doesn't smoke or anything. I've noticed coolant wet spots under hood checked all hoses and can't figure it out.

Replaced thermastat and sensor on housing.

Any ideas fan comes on like it should
Car only has 73k on it auto non vtec

Possible you didn't bleed the system after repairs?

Pressure test it for leaks.
