My wife drives a 2011 1.4L turbo/auto. We bought it new, 90k miles now. The water pump went out at 60k ish but was replaced under warranty and upgraded to the 2013+ version. There have been lots of small updates along the way and a couple big recalls for defective parts. Nothing crazy. Only 1 recall effected ours. A rock just took out her A/C compressor last week. It is mounted low on the passenger side. The car is easy to work on. The 1.4 turbo drives way better than the 1.8 N/A base model. It's worth the upgrade if you have the money.

89oct in hot weather (95+) and new iridium ngk plugs with a tighter than factory gap make the turbo engine happy. It is a dog off the start if it is pulling a bunch of timing as the boost ramps in.

Its a new chevy.. 5 year/100,000 mile powertrain warranty, 36,000 bumper to bumper.. Customer service at dealerships are superb "its one of the toughest franchises to purchase now"..

Even if they sold nothing but lemons, the coverage is great.

She averages 30 on a 70/30 mix of hwy/city with no regard for fuel mileage. People hypermile the shit out of the Eco model. It has the turbo 1.4L and 6 speed manual along with weight reduction and aero changes. They went so far as to put a variable displacement AC compressor on it. I think the US record for fuel mileage in a gas vehicle is held by a Cruze Eco.

But i forgot chevy sucks. Lol.

Yeah, our milage is killed with the CRVs slush box 5 speed.. I wish I waited 1 more year for the 2015 with the CVT.. Raised gas milage up exponentially.
