Alright first off I have an 86 Dodge d150 (360ci) that I had fully rebuilt and machined. It has very low oil pressure when hot (4-6 at idle/not over 25 when at 5000rpms).

I have everything hooked up properly and a gauge that works. I changed out the filter incase it was the culprit and it wasn't. Any ideas?

Secondly, thoughts about this car?

1980 Honda Civic Hatchback Two door

No rust on and seems to run great, automatic and in great shape.

Betcha its either the relief spring.. Try a mechanical gauge and see what it reads than... If not, it could be a lot of things.. If the pressure is good when you first start it up, the oil feed could be clogged up..

What oil are you running?

What's the oil pressure like when cold? If it has good oil pressure when cold your clearances are likely to large.

If the cold oil pressure is bad, first check the oil pump itself. The 360's have a seal that can go bad over time and if it wasn't replaced that could be it. While the pump is out check the rotor for clearances and any abnormal wear or scores.

Its under warranty so it better be fixed for free. And it starts out at 60-70 and drops as it gets hotter. We have tested multiple gauges on it. And 20w50

I really don't know. Only thing I can thing of is clearances being too large, I cut open my old filter and it wasnt full of dirt or anything.

Sounds like a shitty rebuild to me. if there is a warranty on the motor take it back.

If not, 360's are everywhere in junkyards for dirt cheap.
