So yea noise is coming from that pivot (fork) under the TMIC.

Anyone here had to lube that before?

What did you use?

Here's a video before I put some WD40 from under the dash (hole above the gas pedal)

Noise dropped by 70%, pressure needed to press the pedal dropped by 40%!

I think this weekend ima remove the TMIC and actually ty and shove sum synthetic grease in there, as well as try to remove as much dirt as possible..

man all this time I though it was coming from bad firewall welds

here are 2 vids I found on youtube that helped me

If you remove the stock WRX TMIC you will have to replace the coupler hose on the intake side. They do NOT rehold their seal correctly, just a heads up. You *will* have a leak.

The one under the bpv?

i just removed / reinstalled the tmic, fixed my noise and clutch feel is A LOT better

I made sure the tmic was properly inserted back in the intake hose and tightened the coupler as much as i could.

pretty confident It wont leak

Ill monitor boost pressure with my AP just to make sure.

The elbow jointed one. It's complete garbage and once it's been removed it'll leak after being put back on. I believe you can buy a replacement aftermarket for about $80-$100 for a set?

And if you DIY, you may as well knock out the pitch stop mount while you're at it since the TMIC has to come off anyway (an additional $90 from Perrin, on sale on eBay).

Edit: ^which is wellllll worth it. Removes so much drivetrain slop in the lower gears.
