Recently bought an '87 Firebird Formula 350, suspension is kinda shot. Talked to my roommate, and decided I need to replace the shocks/struts all around, bushings, tie rod ends, and ball joints. Not looking for super high end stuff, just something that's a reliable OE replacement, or a bit of an upgrade.
What are good brands (or specific products) to look for.
What are some good online websites for shopping (that would ideally be cheaper than a local parts store), as well as good places to look for reviews on parts.

Also, if anyone else has experience doing this before, what did you do and how did it turn out?

That's what I'm planning on, although I have heard that is better to put rubber ones in the rear control arms.

Yes. Every poly bushing you put in the car will squeak. The LCAs are the worst.

i think we already talked about shocks. Bilstein is a great upgrade for the money.

Bilstein is so expensive tho. And the reason someone said not to use the poly bushings in those was because those control arms were designed to have flex in the bushing. http://www.thirdgen.org/forums/suspension-chassis/546728-suspension-how.html

If you think bilsteins are expensive go buy some monroe gas shocks from Advance auto and be completely unsatisfied.

Koni double adjustables are expensive.

I mean, I'm planning on getting KYB Gas-A-Just for the rear end, what would be a comparable one for the front?
