Have a very clean 2001 f250 crew cab... has a few rock chips in the rear wheel wells that have started to get surface rust, no rust on the inners just the few surface spots. What is a rough cost to get it taken care of?

I k ow it will require a little blasting to do it right some feathering then primer paint and clear both box sides. Just looking to see what a rough price may be for me to get it done

:)

/e. Located in mn if needed

Why not just call some local shops...god damn is that so hard lol...

But anyways..
I had something similar done a few months ago, one spot require actually welding a new piece of metal because it was all the way through, and 2 spots of surface rust.
The shop I went to was on the high end of the price range but they do good work and it was like 3 something.

Price doesn't always reflect quality though, some local small shops can do real good work for cheap sometimes, I'd go there and look at things they are currently working on personally.

Also you should put some kind of chip guard on the very low portion, that's what I did.

Just sand off the rust, then coat it with some rust inhibitor and paint over it. Cost like 20 bucks, and it's stopped my rust for 2 years now. And I live in MN where rust is a real problem.

No its not that hard but it was also 11pm when I thought of it and is it really that hard to answer a question on the forum that is for cars?

And I have chip guard on the lowers this is just the wheel lip. Anyway I will be doing the work myself was just a thought that if it wasn't too bad I would just bring it in
