So my car was vibrating when I was breaking. Took it to the Garage and the guy said the back breaks and the disc were completely done, so he replaced everything. He also changed oil and charged me 285$ CAD.

Did I get owned? I honestly have no clue about cars.

Not sure what province you are in, but that's good considering where I am BC its $90-115 an hour shop rate.

Not really but you could easily get someone who does side work to do it for much cheaper.
Had my buddy replace my roters/pads on front left/right for like $180 including parts. Only took him like 30 mins too.

yeah you got ripped off, I would have told him to just remove the brakes.

brakes don't give hp so are pretty useless on a car

hell it seems like it costs 30 dollars for oil and a filter anymore.
