Made a thread a few weeks back but that kinda died because I got busy for the end of the school year.
Wanting to start my first project car.
Requirements:
- $5,000 USD or less total, this includes the car and all parts
Looking for something that can be relatively quick, but also has good handling and this will be more of a weekend cruise car/casual racer. Would also like it to be able to somewhat handle some off roading, my roommate has some land that he has a makeshift track for people to drive around on. Nothing super intensive, just mostly grass/grass-like weeds and some bumps. Also would like something that has a V8, I'm a fan of the mean, throaty sounds; not rice reliant shit.
I've heard 3rd/4th gen Camaro's/Firebird, C4 Corvettes, and 3rd gen Mustangs. What are some other good options, or am I best off trying to go with one of these? I personally don't have a lot of car experience. Took a year of auto shop in high school and have done some minor stuff here and there, but nothing in terms of actual performance enhancement.
