Thinking about investing in one. Recently rode my brothers and he had one of the newer KLX 110's with the manual hand clutch.
Was a lot of fun, and im thinking it would be a great way to get into the sport.

Im looking at buying an older model 110, definitely will be staying away from the chinese crap. Ive only heard bad things about those.

But does anybody know what ones are reliable, like year wise? Im looking at older KLX 110's and DRZ 110's, planning on dropping maybe 1-1.2k on one.

You could buy yourself a used 250 for about $1,500 that you would enjoy much more and wouldn't grow out of.

I was looking at a used 250 too, because we go to boat races every year and it would be fun as shit to ride into town from the rv parking.

i see no use for a pit bike.

They're pretty much only good for a young person to learn on. Anyone over 5' riding one looks like they're riding a clown bike.

The one I owned was just an entry level one when i was like 14-16, so 8-10 years ago.

I would still have that fucker but the handlebars kept breaking at the tightening nut.

looking at 250+ weight rated gas scooters for sale now (i weigh 205, so need that wiggle room) they are like 400-500 lol

I guess the thing is that there is 3 or so people here that ride em, and they have a track built for them. the 110's are actually pretty fast, my brothers can get up to 55mph.

Plus they all compete in the annual races at one of the local towns, its purely recreational of course. Basically the beer league of racing lol
Im just looking to have fun with other people.

im sure that if I enjoy it enough I will eventually move up to a bigger bike in the future.
