99 jeep cherokee sport 4.0

Truck sat all weekend, like it always does.. Started it up this morning, had a rough start and a rough idle for about 3 seconds than ran perfect .. I figured it was probably because it sat with almost no gas in it. 2 hours later, I start my jeep again ""barely any gas in it, was on my way to fill it up" and the tank is showing half full.

add half a tank of gas.

Thing makes money. run the shit out of it.


On a serious note. Check your sending unit, and filter. IIRC they are all in one unit together on those.

Maybe the throttle position sensor. Jeeps don't magically go from empty to half full. Your gauge is busted.

It's the fuel filter.
