I figured it was time I finally get to start sinking some money into my beloved Ae86. I work 1000 miles away from home and have been gone for 6 months so the car has been sitting in the garage and my father started it up ever other week or so. Anyways I got to FINALLY take a vacation back home to visit family and friends and my woman. Before I went on vacation I decided to order quite a bit of goodies for my 86.
About $1800 in parts..

Now I know the smartest thing to do would be just Swap a 4AGE into it. But I just don't have that kind of time. And i am kind of curious about what would happen if you open'd up the 4AC. I feel like it could potentially be really fun!

It's too big of a list to name off, but some of the parts were: Weber carb, Falken Tires, Rear wheel spacers, Electric radiator fan and shroud. some interrior pieces. Magnecor Racing Wires. Iridium NGK plugs. Slotted rotors and Ceramic pads, and a Double thick aluminum Radiator.

Here she was.. Bone stock and all its glory.

And to now.

I just a had a absolute blast tearing into it. It's literally like legos lol. The only thing that was irritating was the 80's Toyotas Vacuum and emissions.. Wow what a nest of shit going to the factory Carb.

But once you get tearing into the Emissions and Vacuum lines its not too bad.

And last but not least..
Made the GF change the Oil :P

After getting everything finnished, and fixing the oil leaks. (Valve cover leak and Distributor leak)
I got to take her for a drive to Coeur 'd Alene Idaho. and meet up with some friends. Do some cruising. and got to play around in an open Parking lott, it actually slides around now! lol. Pretty cool for a 4AC to be able to do that.

The last I ordered for the car was the TRD hatch wing. and our personal Body work/Paint man is going to Mold it on and repaint the car Factory red. While I am away for work again. No Panda paint job or anything fancy. just factory red. My main goal for the car was to just be a nice (But fun) sunday car and maybe go to some car meets. I would maybe make more of a drift car with it, except it's been in the family since 1999. (My mother bought it with only 98k original miles on it, and then I got it in 2010)
So its got a sentimental value to me.

Once our body man gives me a price estimate, the car will be delivered to him and he'll send me some pics of progress here and there. so i'll post those up in this thread.

I'll be back in 6 weeks, and the car SHOULD be done. i'll be sure to take pics and show:P

As far as future modifications... I'm going to buy new front + Rear sway bars, rear adjustable lateral rod, rear adjustable 4 links. spool for the real end. and get the Cam regrind-ed from Schnider Racing.

Hope you guys enjoy'd.

I was wanting to get some electric fans just for added safety. Some that are wired to a switch I can turn on while sitting in traffic.

...sans shopping list in the window, I trust?

This is a little low for my personal tastes, but overall, I like the look.

Lol mine will have no decals though. And mine is gonna keep the height it is at currently at, and my Supra-Celica wheels. But paint scheme will be identical. Except I'll have the TRD hatch Wing instead.

I don't want to do an exact replicate ;)

I'll be hanging onto the Supra wheels for now. I just bought brand new Falken tires for em so I'm kinda stuck with em for a while lol

I like decals. But on an actual RACECAR. Not a cruiser.

The girlfriend actually enjoys that kind of stuff. I'm gonna teach her how to drive the 86 when I visit home on the 22nd. :P
