Why would you rat rod a 47 ford that runs great and has all original parts?

Just enjoy it, no need to restore if it runs great and has original parts, no need to destroy it by making it into a rat rod..

Also pics.

I might be inclined to start working on it as a resto project, making it show-worthy, but I wouldn't rat rod it, if it's in otherwise good condition.

There's plenty of garbage out there to rat rod out "I'm a huge fan of a well built rat rod", don't destroy a car just in the sake of making one. You can pick up an old plymouth for next to nothing that you can rat it out.

Oh man...that is beautiful. The deluxe, I'm fairly certain, is kind of rare. I'd definitely just clean that up. Leave the original/current paint on it, electronic ignition...bam. A really awesome ride.....that will get like 15mpg tops.

Sweet pickup nonetheless.
